Blue Jay GM Alex Anthopoulos got some good news from his training staff regarding both Adam Lind and Edwin Encarnacion, two of the team’s key injured players.

Lind has a fractured bone in his right foot while Encarnacion is recovering from a quad muscle strain.

“I’m optimistic that our guys have a chance to come back sooner than than we all think,” said Anthopoulos. “I got an update (Saturday) night that Lind and Encarnacion are really progressing well. Lind is out of his boot, swinging off the tee and for everything’s he’s done he’s got no symptoms at all, no pain. It’s obviously a great sign. (Nolan) Reimold (calf muscle) looks like he’s starting to come around as well.
