The seventh inning has become a wall that R.A. Dickey can’t climb.

The Jays No. 1 starter has pitched into the seventh inning on eight occasions this season and disaster usually awaits him.

In the eight starts where he has hit the seventh, Dickey has pitched a combined 2.2 innings (eight recorded outs) where he has allowed seven earned runs on 10 hits (five doubles and two home runs) walked one, struck out two and hit two batters. His ERA for the inning is 23.63.
