We haven’t seen Kansas City Royals legend George Brett this enraged since he erupted in 1983 during the infamous pine tar incident at Yankee Stadium.

When the 60-year-old was sought by someone he considers a stalker on Wednesday at Kansas City International Airport – a man who has admitted to approaching the hall of famer on at least 35 occasions seeking Brett’s signature – he lost it.

"If I ever see you f------ again, I'm going to shoot your f------ ass, do you understand?" Brett said in a short video posted to YouTube by Brandon Farrens, who told the station Brett has given him an autograph on around 15 previous occasions.

Before the video ends, Farrens calls Brett, a current member of Kansas City’s front office, an asshole.

A spokesperson for the Royals told KCTV that while Brett regrets saying what he said, he hopes he sent a message.

"All he had to say was, 'no' or ignore me," Farrens told KCTV5.

Farrens' Facebook page lists his hometown as Independence, Mo., just outside Kansas City. It also shows him and a number of athletes and celebrities posing for photos together.
