Two men are facing assault and battery charges for their involvement in a violent melee Saturday following Boston's World Series parade.

The accused -- Liam Browne, 23, and Kieran Boyle, 21, both of Massachusetts -- allegedly kicked two different men in the head while the victims were on the ground, according to CBS Boston.

Video footage of the vicious assault was posted on BarstoolSports.com, and has since gone viral.

The victims were taken to hospital, CBS reported. There has been no further update on their conditions.

Browne and Boyle were arraigned in court Tuesday.

Browne was released from jail on $1,000 bail, while Boyle is being held on $4,000 bail.

The accused, who have been ordered to stay away from the victims, are due back in court in February 2014.
