The MLB non-waiver trade deadline turned out to be a colossal dud for fantasy owners hoping to bid on a quality player switching leagues by July 31. Not that there weren’t any deals, but all seven involving fantasy-worthy names that went down in the final few days were interleague exercises -- six in the AL, one in the NL -- with no one changing sides. No Alex Rios. No Cliff Lee. No Michael Young. No Josh Johnson, leaving only Matt Garza and Alfonso Soriano, dealt the weekend before (both to the AL), as the only players to jump ship.

Even free-agent closer Brian Wilson, stuck on the DL all season, stayed in the NL by signing with the Dodgers this past week.

Still, the final trades that did go down are not without a potential fantasy impact, as we’ll outline here:

SP Jake Peavy to BOS, 3B Jose Iglesias to DET, OF Avisail Garcia to CHW: Peavy’s fantasy value should remain status quo. U.S. Cellular Field is more inviting to LH power hitters.
