How did the Pre-Integration Era committee examine candidates from the 1876-1946 era?

The Baseball Writers Association of America had already passed on the more modernday candidates and there weren’t highlights to examine those that played before.

The star of the committee, which met in December, was Toronto-born historian Peter Morris, now of Lansing, Mich.
