Forget his teammates, peers and the media -- Ryan Braun lied to die-hard Milwaukee Brewers fans.

Denying performance-enhancing drug use repeatedly since 2011, Braun built up an army of supporters. That is until he was punished Monday with a season-ending suspension.

It has left the 2011 National League MVP's fans helpless and paying the price.

One fan, Nick Yohanek, couldn't hold in a laugh when he told Fox 6 Milwaukee on Tuesday about the amount of money he has invested in Braun memorabilia.

"I have spent over $15,000 on this stuff," he said, sheepishly.

Yohanek has dozen of Braun-related balls, bats, and helmets. He owns signed game-used cleats, a few game-used jerseys, and many other collectibles.

"Little by little, I just started adding things over the years," he said.

Yohanek used to believe Braun was a "humble," decent guy. Since news broke Monday of the outfielder’s suspension, Yohanek has found it difficult to explain what Braun did to his six-year-old daughter, Clara.

"It's arrogant," he said, when asked sum up Braun's massive slip-up. "It's just at a different level. I can't explain it."

"Now we just look naive."
