Dodgers' Yasiel Puig parties with celebs at Playboy Mansion

To all those baseball fans who were outraged or disappointed Los Angeles Dodgers rookie Yasiel Puig was left off the National League all-star team, well, stop it.

Looks like he got over the snub so you should, too.

Puig found something a little more entertaining to do than play in what amounts to an exhibition game, albeit one with the game’s biggest stars.

Instead of heading to New York for the MLB all-star game, Puig opted to party with Snoop Dogg, or Snoop Lion — whatever the once-famous rapper is calling himself now — and other celebs at the Playboy Mansion.

Yeah, the Playboy freakin’ Mansion. To heck with Citi Field, that’s where the party’s at.

Puig, the hottest name in sports these days after a crazy start to his Dodgers career, was joined by a host of other sports. His Instagram account has photos of him posing with San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick — last year’s rags to riches story — singer Chris Brown, Washington Wizards guard John Wall, Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller and the aforementioned Snoop Lion.

Puig, a Cuban native who defected just over a year ago, has reached phenom status in baseball circles despite his limited time with the Dodgers — he was called up June 3 — and some fans campaigned for him to be included on the NL all-star roster. The 22-year-old missed out on MLB’s Final Vote, giving Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman the spot.

In 38 games, Puig has a .391 batting average, eight home runs and 19 RBIs.

Do you think MLB is taking it too far by having teams open the 2014 season in Australia?
