Those aren’t lyrics to anything other than a baseball conundrum: In the very same week that the much-anticipated movie, 42, hits the theatres — the remarkable story of Jackie Robinson breaking the colour barrier in baseball and changing sport forever — comes a sad and seemingly disproportionate statistic that isn’t surprising but is nonetheless troubling:
