Q. What’s with Tim Lincecum’s new look?
A. Lincecum has traded in his teenage, skateboarder look highlighted by his straight near shoulder-length locks to looking like a member of the young Republican party. With his corporate hair cut and faux glasses he resembles a young Clark Kent. The Giants, meanwhile, wouldn’t mind at all if from under the new facade that Superman returns. Last year, the two-time Cy Young winner was simply dreadful as he went 10-15 with a 5.18 ERA during the regular season. Pushed back into the bullpen during the post-season, Lincecum got it together and was more his old self. His new look also includes an additional eight pounds of muscle and the hope is he regains some lost velocity and command.
