Cardinals' Chris Carpenter likely out for season

St. Louis Cardinals ace Chris Carpenter is out for the 2013 season, and possibly forever.

Cards’ general manager John Mozeliak told reporters Tuesday that the 37-year-old pitcher is experiencing numbness and bruising in his right shoulder and hand. It’s the same nerve problem that kept Carpenter out for most of the 2012 season.

The former Cy Young award winner had surgery in July to repair nerves and returned to the lineup, starting in six games, including three in the playoffs.

Is the season lost for the Toronto Blue Jays or is there still time to turn things around?
Plenty of time to get it turned around
They're quickly running out of time
It's lost. When do the Argos start?
It was over before it began
