Free-agent outfielder Jason Bay is set to join the Seattle Mariners.

Bay has reached agreement on a one-year contract with the Mariners, according to reports Wednesday. The team had yet to announce the deal.

In November, Bay and the New York Mets parted ways after three seasons. He had one guaranteed year left on his four-year, $66 million contract.

The oft-injured Bay hit .165 with eight home runs and 20 RBI last season. His injuries, which included a concussion and ribs, limited him to 288 games with the Mets in those three seasons.
