ARLINGTON, TX - The Texas Rangers activated pitcher Ryan Dempster from the MLB restricted list and named him the starter for Monday's matchup with the Baltimore Orioles.

Dempster missed the Rangers weekend series against the Toronto Blue Jays after being placed on the restricted list for three days due to personal reasons.

He is 1-1 with an 8.31 earned run average in 3 starts for Texas since being acquired from the Chicago Cubs in a July 31 trade.

Leonys Martin recorded a walk and strikeout over two games this weekend when he was recalled in place of Dempster.

Over two stints with Texas this season, Martin has batted .184 with four doubles and five RBI in 17 games.

Is the season lost for the Toronto Blue Jays or is there still time to turn things around?
Plenty of time to get it turned around
They're quickly running out of time
It's lost. When do the Argos start?
It was over before it began
