Mets' Jason Bay out with concussion

The New York Mets announced Saturday that outfielder Jason Bay has been placed on the seven-day disabled list after suffering a concussion in Friday’s game against the Reds.

Bay was tracking a fly ball from Jay Bruce and crashed into the wall without making the catch. Bruce scored on an inside-the-park homer and Bay had to be helped off the field.

After signing a four-year deal with New York following the 2009 season, Bay has been a casualty of several injuries in his tenure with the Mets. This is the second time he’s been knocked out of action in 2012 after fracturing a rib in late April.

In 22 games this season, Bay is batting .187 with four homers and two doubles.

To replace Bay on the roster, the Mets reinstated infielder Justin Turner from the 15-day disabled list.

Is the season lost for the Toronto Blue Jays or is there still time to turn things around?
Plenty of time to get it turned around
They're quickly running out of time
It's lost. When do the Argos start?
It was over before it began
