Report: Mets preparing offer for Wright
By QMI Agency
David Wright, who carried a league-leading .400 batting average into Monday night action, will be getting a long-term offer from the New York Mets, the Wall Street Journal has reported. The Mets have a $16-million team option on Wright, 29, for 2013 but want to lock up the third baseman on a long-term deal. Wright leads the Mets in hits, runs, triples, RBI, walks, total bases, and stolen bases. |
