A-Rod youngest to 630 career home runs

New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez became the youngest to reach 630 home runs on Friday, belting it in the third inning of a 5-0 victory over the visiting Los Angeles Angels.

The homer tied Rodriguez with Ken Griffey Jr. for fifth all-time.

Rodriguez trails Barry Bonds (762), Hank Aaron (755), Babe Ruth (714) and Willie Mays (660).

Rodriguez hit his 630th at 36 years, 261 days, according to MLB.com. Ruth hit his 630th at 37 years, 127 days on June 12, 1932.
