Ramirez restraining order lifted

Retired baseball star Manny Ramirez has had a restraining order blocking him from contacting his wife lifted.

The former Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Sox superstar was arrested in September following an alleged altercation with his wife Juliana at their Florida home.

Just a day after he was taken into custody, Ramirez was temporarily banned from having any contact with his spouse until the investigation into the case was complete.

On Thursday both parties attended a court hearing in Florida, where a judge agreed to lift the order.

Ramirez is now allowed to contact his wife but he is still banned from living with her, according to TMZ.com.

The couple will return to court next month for the next hearing.
