Dodgers edge Braves in 10 innings
By Sports Network

Juan Rivera's sacrifice fly scored Dee Gordon in the 10th inning, boosting the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 2-1 win over the Braves.

A.J. Ellis homered in the second inning off Mike Minor, while Atlanta's lone run came in the bottom half of the same frame on Dan Uggla's blast to left- center field off Nathan Eovaldi.

The Dodgers, who have won six in a row and 11 of their last 12 games, pushed a run across against Anthony Varvaro (0-1).

Gordon doubled to center field and moved to third on a bunt from James Loney. After Matt Kempt was intentionally walked, Rivera's fly to center sent Gordon to the plate well ahead of the throw home.

Mike MacDougal (2-1) escaped a jam with two runners on base in the ninth and Javy Guerra retired the side in order in the 10th for his 15th save.

The NL wild card-leading Braves went hitless in seven opportunities with men in scoring position and lost for the fourth time in six games.

Is the season lost for the Toronto Blue Jays or is there still time to turn things around?
Plenty of time to get it turned around
They're quickly running out of time
It's lost. When do the Argos start?
It was over before it began
