Phillies edge Marlins to set franchise record
By Sports Network

John Mayberry Jr. belted a two-run homer and added a sacrifice fly, as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Florida Marlins, 5-3, to move 42 games over .500 for the first time in franchise history.

Shane Victorino went 2-for-4 with a walk and scored twice for the Phillies (88-46), who were coming off a four-game sweep in Cincinnati.

Philadelphia starter Roy Oswalt (7-8) gave up three runs on eight hits with one walk and seven strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings.

Jose Lopez hit a solo home run for Florida, which has dropped five of six.

Recalled from Double-A Jacksonville on Friday, Brad Hand (1-5) allowed four runs -- three earned -- on four hits and three walks in five-plus frames.

Is the season lost for the Toronto Blue Jays or is there still time to turn things around?
Plenty of time to get it turned around
They're quickly running out of time
It's lost. When do the Argos start?
It was over before it began
