PHILADELPHIA -- Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins was placed on the 15-day disabled list Monday with a mild Grade 2 strain of his right groin.

The Phillies activated third baseman Placido Polanco from the DL, where he had been since Aug. 7 because of sports hernia, to take the roster spot.

Rollins suffered the injury and left the game in the third inning of Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Washington Nationals.

"Gone till September," Rollins tweeted Monday afternoon after announcing the injury.

The former MVP is batting .268 with 14 home runs and 58 RBI over 121 games this season. He also has 28 stolen bases and has scored 79 times.

Is the season lost for the Toronto Blue Jays or is there still time to turn things around?
Plenty of time to get it turned around
They're quickly running out of time
It's lost. When do the Argos start?
It was over before it began
