Atlanta, GA - The Atlanta Braves welcomed back All-Star catcher Brian McCann and reliever Scott Linebrink from the 15-day disabled list on Sunday.

Starting pitcher Tommy Hanson, however, landed on the DL with right shoulder tendinitis, a move retroactive to August 7.

McCann hasn't played since July 26 because of a strained left oblique, while a lower back strain shelved Linebrink, who last pitched on July 29.

Prior to his DL stint, McCann batted .306 with 18 home runs and 55 RBI over 91 games this season. Linebrink made 50 appearances for the Braves, posting a 4-2 record with a save and 2.95 earned run average.

Hanson is 11-7 with a 3.60 ERA in 2011. He has struggled since the All-Star break, compiling an 8.10 ERA in five outings.

The Braves also optioned relief pitcher Anthony Varvaro to Triple-A Gwinnett.

Is the season lost for the Toronto Blue Jays or is there still time to turn things around?
Plenty of time to get it turned around
They're quickly running out of time
It's lost. When do the Argos start?
