Cubs' Zambrano ejected
By Sports Network

Carlos Zambrano was ejected from Friday's game against the Atlanta Braves after trying to hit Chipper Jones with a pitch in the fifth inning.

After giving up back-to-back homers to Freddie Freeman and Dan Uggla, Zambrano tried to hit Jones. Home plate umpire Tim Timmons immediately tossed Zambrano.

Known for his bad temper, Zambrano had a few choice words before going to the locker room. Timmons did a great job of preventing any further activity.

Zambrano got blasted to the tune of eight runs on eight hits over 4 1/3 innings. He gave up a career-high five homers.

Uggla started the home run parade off Zambrano in the second with a solo homer to left-center field. With that homer, Uggla established the longest hitting streak in Atlanta history (32 games).

Jose Constanza and Jones also homered off Zambrano.

Ramon Ortiz took over on the mound for Chicago.

Is the season lost for the Toronto Blue Jays or is there still time to turn things around?
Plenty of time to get it turned around
They're quickly running out of time
It's lost. When do the Argos start?
It was over before it began
