Rangers CEO released from hospital

ARLINGTON, TEXAS - The Texas Rangers announced on Tuesday that chief executive officer and president Nolan Ryan was released from the hospital.

Ryan was hospitalized in Houston after experiencing discomfort early Sunday morning at his home in Georgetown, Texas. The 64-year-old underwent a series of precautionary tests Monday afternoon for what is believed to be a recurrence of a previous heart condition.

The Rangers said on Monday the test results indicated no new developments with the heart condition, which will continue to be treated with medication.

Ryan is scheduled to have several days of rest at his home before returning to work.
