Indians' Choo out at least two months
By Sports Network

PHOENIX - The Cleveland Indians announced that right fielder Shin-Soo Choo underwent surgery in his left thumb, which will require a recovery time of eight to 10 weeks.

The procedure fixed a displace fracture and was preformed by renowned hand specialist and surgeon Dr. Thomas Graham at the Cleveland Clinic.

Choo was placed on the 15-day DL on Saturday after injuring his hand during Friday's 4-3 loss to San Francisco.

The injury occurred when Choo was unable to dodge Jonathan Sanchez's high fastball. The ball caromed off Choo's thumb and he collapsed to the ground in obvious pain.

As he was looked at by medical personnel, Choo seemed to tell them, "It's broken," before having the glove cut off his left hand.

Choo is hitting .244 with a .333 on-base percentage, five homers and 28 RBI in 72 games this season.

Is the season lost for the Toronto Blue Jays or is there still time to turn things around?
Plenty of time to get it turned around
They're quickly running out of time
It's lost. When do the Argos start?
It was over before it began
