Nationals place Ankiel on DL By Sports Network

MIAMI - The Washington Nationals have placed outfielder Rick Ankiel on the 15-day disabled list because of a sprained right wrist.

The move is retroactive to May 3.

Ankiel, in his first season with the Nationals, is batting .221 with one homer and seven runs batted in through 28 games.
