Padres take Latos off DL By Sports Network

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Padres reinstated right-hander Mat Latos from the 15-day disabled list on Monday.

Latos, who started the year on the shelf with a strained pitching shoulder, went 14-10 with a 2.92 earned run average and one shutout in 31 appearances last season.

To clear a roster spot, the club optioned left-hander Wade LeBlanc to Triple-A Tucson of the Pacific Coast League. He was recalled from the minor league affiliate on Sunday.
