Flushing, NY - The New York Mets have placed catcher Ronny Paulino on the 15-day disabled list because of anemia.
Paulino just finished a 50-game suspension that was levied last August for violating baseball's drug policy. He was with Florida when the penalty was handed out and signed with the Mets in December after being non-tendered by the Marlins.
In 91 games last season, Paulino hit .259 with four homers and 37 runs batted in. He also threw out 42 percent of potential base stealers.
