Braves put Jurrjens on DL By Sports Network

Washington, DC - The Atlanta Braves placed pitcher Jair Jurrjens on the 15-day disabled list on Sunday.

Jurrjens, who is recovering from a right oblique strain, went 7-6 with a 4.64 ERA in 20 starts last season.

Atlanta recalled pitcher Mike Minor from Triple-A Gwinnett to fill the roster spot. Minor is scheduled to start Wednesday's game in Milwaukee.

Minor made nine appearances (eight starts) for the Braves last season, recording a 3-2 mark with a 5.98 ERA.
