Cubs tell Silva he won't make team
By Sports Network

SURPRIZE, AZ - Cubs general manager Jim Hendry told veteran starter Carlos Silva on Saturday that he will not make the team's 25-man roster.

Afterwards, Silva told the media that he had no interest in reporting for a Triple-A assignment offered by the team.

Silva, who will be 32 next month, went 10-6 with a 4.22 ERA in 21 starts for the Cubs last season. He has also pitched for Philadelphia, Minnesota and Seattle in his nine-year career, going 70-70 in 316 games -- including 180 starts.

Is the season lost for the Toronto Blue Jays or is there still time to turn things around?
Plenty of time to get it turned around
They're quickly running out of time
It's lost. When do the Argos start?
It was over before it began
