Nationals put Strasburg on 60-day DL By Sports Network

Viera, FL - The Washington Nationals have placed right-handed pitcher Stephen Strasburg on the 60-day disabled list as he recovers from Tommy John surgery.

The Nationals also claimed left-handed pitcher Lee Hyde off waivers from the Atlanta Braves and optioned him to Triple-A Syracuse.

Hyde has a 12-11 record with 10 saves and a 2.91 ERA in 109 games (eight starts) over five minor-league seasons.
