Indians sign Nick Johnson
By Sports Network

GOODYEAR, AZ - The Cleveland Indians have signed first baseman Nick Johnson.

No terms of the deal were announced.

Johnson was limited to 72 at-bats last season with the Yankees and did not play after May 7 due to a right wrist injury. According to the Indians, the recovery from surgery will prevent him from having a chance to open the season on the big league roster.

The oft-injured 32-year-old has compiled 91 home and 387 runs batted in over nine big league seasons with the Yankees, Expos, Nationals and Marlins.

Is the season lost for the Toronto Blue Jays or is there still time to turn things around?
Plenty of time to get it turned around
They're quickly running out of time
It's lost. When do the Argos start?
It was over before it began
