Tigers sign eight players
By Sports Network

DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers agreed to terms with reliever Phil Coke and seven other players Monday on contracts for the 2011 season.

Coke, 28, was a big piece of the Tigers' bullpen last season, when he appeared in 74 games, though one of them was a start. The left-hander posted a 7-5 record, a 3.76 earned run average, and two saves in 64 2/3 innings.

Detroit also agreed to terms with pitchers Lester Oliveros, Jose Ortega, Brayan Villarreal, Duane Below, and Charlie Furbush; first baseman/outfielder Ryan Strieby; and infielder Audy Ciriaco.

The Tigers have 25 players on the club's 40-man roster under contract for the 2011 season.

Is the season lost for the Toronto Blue Jays or is there still time to turn things around?
Plenty of time to get it turned around
They're quickly running out of time
It's lost. When do the Argos start?
It was over before it began
