Rangers agree to terms with O'Day
By Sports Network

The Texas Rangers have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with right-handed relief pitcher Darren O'Day.

Financial details were not released, but the Dallas Morning News reported the deal is worth $1.215 million.

The 28-year-old went 6-2 with a 2.03 earned run average in a team-high 72 games out of the bullpen during the 2010 regular season.

O'Day then made 11 playoff appearances for the Rangers, who advanced to the World Series for the first time in franchise history before losing to San Francisco in five games. He was 0-1 with a 7.71 ERA during the postseason, giving up four runs in 4 2/3 innings.
