Rockies sign Hammel to two-year deal
By SPORTS NETWORK

DENVER - The Colorado Rockies have signed pitcher Jason Hammel to a two-year contract, avoiding arbitration.

Hammel was a 10-game winner for a second straight season in 2010, going 10-9 with a 4.81 ERA in 30 turns for the Rockies.

The right-hander spent the first three years of his career with Tampa Bay before being traded to Colorado prior to the 2009 campaign.

The 28-year-old has a 27-32 career record with a 5.06 ERA in 137 games, 88 as a starter.

Is the season lost for the Toronto Blue Jays or is there still time to turn things around?
Plenty of time to get it turned around
They're quickly running out of time
It's lost. When do the Argos start?
It was over before it began
