Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto is set to see a lot of green.

ESPN.com reports the Canadian slugger agreed to a three-year, $38 million contract extension with the team.

The deal is pending a physical, scheduled for Monday.

Votto took the National League's MVP crown in 2010, batting .324 with 37 home runs and 113 RBIs. He led Cincinnati to the NL Central title, and helped the Reds reach the playoffs for the first time in 15 years.

Is the season lost for the Toronto Blue Jays or is there still time to turn things around?
Plenty of time to get it turned around
They're quickly running out of time
It's lost. When do the Argos start?
It was over before it began
