Report: Tigers to add Penny
By Sports Network

DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers have reportedly agreed to terms on a one-year deal with pitcher Brad Penny, pending the outcome of a physical exam.

Foxsports.com is indicating that the deal is worth $3 million in base salary plus incentives.

The 32-year-old right-hander made nine starts for St. Louis last season, going 3-4 with a 3.23 earned run average before suffering what turned into a season- ending strained right latissimus dorsi muscle injury in late May.

Penny has compiled a 108-88 record and 4.11 ERA over 288 games -- 284 as a starter -- over an 11-year big league career with the Marlins, Dodgers, Red Sox, Giants and Cardinals.

Is the season lost for the Toronto Blue Jays or is there still time to turn things around?
Plenty of time to get it turned around
They're quickly running out of time
It's lost. When do the Argos start?
It was over before it began
