Orioles finalize deal with Izturis By Sports Network

BALTIMORE -- The Baltimore Orioles have re-signed infielder Cesar Izturis to a one-year contract.

The 30-year-old Venezuelan batted .230 in 473 plate appearances for the Orioles in 2010, while finishing second among American League shortstops in fielding percentage (.985).

Izturis also finished fifth in assists (382) and putouts (212) among AL shortstops.

The 2004 Gold Glove winner has batted .256 over the course of his 10-year career.
