Philadelphia) - The Philadelphia Phillies have reportedly agreed to terms on a one-year deal with relief pitcher J.C. Romero.

According to CSNPhilly, the deal is dependent on Romero passing a physical.

The Phillies declined their 2011 option that would have paid the left-hander $4.5 million. Instead, they paid him a $250,000 buyout.

Philadelphia had then agreed to a one-year, $1.1 million deal with Dennis Reyes that eventually fell through after the veteran southpaw arrived in town for his physical.

Romero went 1-0 with a 3.68 earned run average in 60 outings last season but struggled with his control, issuing 29 walks in comparison to 28 strikeouts.
