San Francisco - The San Francisco Giants have reportedly signed shortstop Miguel Tejada to a one-year deal worth $6.5 million.

The move came just hours after the rival Los Angeles Dodgers announced their signing of former Giant Juan Uribe to a three-year contract that is reportedly worth $21 million.

According to ESPNDeportes.com, Tejada could earn another $500,000 in incentives.

The 2002 AL MVP spent last year with the Orioles and Padres and batted .269 with 15 homers and 71 RBI in 156 games.

In 2,027 career games with Oakland, Baltimore, Houston and San Diego, Tejada is a .287 hitter with 300 homers and 1,256 RBI.
