Santa’s got a new elf, and his name is Brian Cashman.
The New York Yankees’ general manager is set to rappel from a 350-foot building dressed as a celebrity elf as part of the Stamford Heights and Lights event in Stamford, Conn.
“This is not for the faint,” said Sandy Goldstein, president of Stamford Downtown. “You really have to be macho to do this."
According to ESPN.com, Cashman volunteered to take part after he saw the event last year.
"He indicated he would be really interested doing it,” Goldstein said. “So we followed up."
The event’s rehearsal takes place Friday morning and will be aired on Fox 5 in New York. The official stunt is scheduled for Sunday at 4:30 p.m.
