Toronto - Oft-injured Yankees designated hitter Nick Johnson will miss the remainder of the 2010 season after having a procedure scheduled to fix a tendon in his right wrist.

Johnson has been out since May with the same injury, suffering a setback in July while swinging the bat.

The 31-year-old finished the season with a .167 batting average and .388 on- base percentage in 24 games for New York this season. He has failed to break the 100-game mark in four of his last seven seasons in the majors, and missed all of 2007.
