SAN FRANCISCO -- Florida Marlins left fielder Chris Coghlan went on the 15-day disabled list Monday night due to a torn meniscus in his left knee.

Coghlan, the reigning National League Rookie of the Year, was hurt during a game-ending celebration on Sunday when he shoved a shaving cream pie in the face of Wes Helms after a 5-4 win over the Braves in 11 innings.

"As players we need to be a little bit more aware because it's a game of emotions," Coghlan said. "You have to be a little bit smarter when you celebrate a win."

Coghlan is hitting .268 with five homers and 28 RBI this season.

Emilio Bonifacio started in left field in Monday's 4-3 win over the Giants.

The Marlins also called up first baseman Logan Morrison from Triple-A New Orleans. He was hitting .307 with six homers and 45 RBI for the Zephyrs.
