Minneapolis - Minnesota Twins first baseman Justin Morneau will see a specialist Tuesday, as he continues to deal with symptoms of a concussion he sustained before the All-Star break.
Morneau is on the disabled list and eligible to be activated Friday, but that is not a certainty at this point. It's likely he will not travel with the team when it heads out on the road later this week. The Twins open a seven-game trip Thursday in Baltimore.
Morneau suffered the injury in a July 7 contest at Toronto, when he slid into second base trying to break up a double play.
He is hitting .345 with an MLB-leading .437 on-base percentage, 18 home runs and 56 RBI this season.
