Drew Parker.

Right-hander Drew Parker helped Team Canada move another step closer to the World juniors with an 11-1 win over Panama at the World Cup qualifier in Villahermosa, Mex.

Canada's National junior team moved its record to 4-2 with the victory.

And this match up was not a lead-pipe cinch for coach Greg Hamilton's team: two days before in The Netherlands the two countries matched up and Panama scored a 13-6 win over Canada.

Parker (Surrey, BC) made sure the Panamanians kept walking -- all the way back to their dugout. Parker, who pitches for Fraser Valley in the B.C. Premier League, pitched a complete seven-inning game, allowing only three hits.

Canada scored four times in the first and Parker closed the door after that.

His homey Kevin Atkinson (Surrey, BC) led Canada at the plate with three RBIs. Shortstop Josue Peley (Montreal, Que.) and outfielder Branson Joseph (Mississauga, Ont.) each had two hits.

Canada's next game will be against Puerto Rico. The game was originally scheduled for earlier in the tournament but rains came in the fourth inning with the score tied 1-1.

Do you think Jesse Litsch will bounce back and pitch for the Blue Jays again?
  Yes, the bullpen needs help
No, his injury was too severe
  I don't want him back
