The hitting by Waltenbury (Bowmanville, Ont.) helped Canada tie the score and force extra innings. Then, the rains came in extras suspending play.

Phil Carey (London, Ont.) and Jeff Cowan (Scarborough, Ont.) each drove in a run. Cowan,s RBI, a scoring fly ball in the seventh to tied the game at 3-3.

Jonathan Prevost (Vaudreuil-Dorion, Que.) scored two of the runs for Baseball Canada,

RHP Mark James (Whitby, Ont.) started and allowed one hit in three scoreless innings and striking out two batters.

Michael Wilson (Pickering, Ont.) followed, surrendering three runs on five hits and two walks in three innings, fanning four.

Denver Wynn (Kamloops, B.C.) finished up with a scoreless inning allowing one hit, striking out two batters.
