Jeff Cowan delivered a two-run double as Team Canada national junior team dropped an 8-5 decision against the Minnesota Twins Rookie-Class at Boca Chica in the Dominican Republic.

Canada scored twice in the fifth inning, when Josue Peley (Montreal, Que.) singled in Kyle Orr (Victoria, B.C.) and Jonathan Waltenbury (Bowmanville, Ont.).

Jonathan Prevost (Vaudreuil-Dorion, Que.) hit a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to complete the team's scoring, as seven different players collected a hit for Canada.

The Twins scored three runs in both the fourth and fifth innings and two in the sixth frame.

Justin Robinson (Langley, B.C.) gave up five runs on eight hits and one walk through three innings, while picking up two strikeouts. Denver Wynn (Kamloops, B.C.) allowed one hit in his scoreless inning.

  Yes, the bullpen needs help
No, his injury was too severe
