Jose Canseco continues fictitious (serious?) Toronto mayoral bid
The former MLB slugger has once again taken to Twitter for support
By QMI Agency

Jose Canseco still says "he's coming" for Rob Ford's job. (QMI Agency)

Jose Canseco continued his odd -- some would say desperate -- bid to conjur up attention after claiming late last week his intentions to seek office in Toronto.

As promised, Canseco once again addressed his close to 500,000 Twitter followers Tuesday night in attempt to hammer out the ways in which he could potentially advance his entertaining bid.

The former Blue Jays slugger announced his intentions to run for office via Twitter on Friday if Toronto mayor Rob Ford is booted from office.

While Ford is fighting in court to keep his job -- he's appealing a ruling that he violated conflict-of-interest laws -- Canseco legally can't become mayor. In order to run, you must be a Canadian citizen -- Canseco isn't -- and either be a resident or own property in Toronto.

As a result, Canseco did what any reasonable politician would do: seek ways to circumvent the rules.

As you can see (below), the Cuban-born, six-time all-star let loose on Twitter.

Are you encouraged by the Toronto Blue Jays' recent winning streak?
Yes, team is starting to gel
No, team is not championship calibre
Unsure what to make of it
