Longoria on DL for 15 days By Sports Network

St. Petersburg, FL - Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Evan Longoria has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained oblique.

Longoria left the game against Baltimore on Saturday after apparently injuring himself while batting in the fourth inning.

The 25-year-old has yet to record a hit in the 2011 season, going 0-for-5 with a walk during the first two games.

To replace the third baseman's roster spot, the Rays brought up infielder Felipe Lopez from Triple-A Durham.
