U.S., based Richard Adu-Bobie, whose parents are Canadian, received his Canadian citizenship on the eve of the national championships and Olympic trials in Victoria. He placed fourth at the trials in the men's 100 sprint in a Canadian junior record of 10.28 seconds, beating the previous record of 10.30 held by Carlton Chambers. Adu-Bobie heads to Athens as part of Canada's men's 4X100 relay pool and is the youngest member on the Canadian track and field team at age 19.
