Frederic Niemeyer currently ranks second in doubles and singles in Canada. He reached a career high of #134 on the ATP doubles ranking earlier this year. The 28-year-old has six career ATP Challenger titles in doubles and five at the Futures level. Niemeyer and Daniel Nestor, his partner in men's doubles at the Athens Olympics, have competed together on four previous occasions and are undefeated

Last year, after a six-month rehabilitation from a knee injury, he came out flying. At Wimbledon, he made it through the qualifying rounds before knocking off the 17th player in the world, Spaniard Felix Mantilla, in the first round.

Nestor believes Niemeyer can cause a lot of trouble with his big serve. "Guys with huge serves can do anything," he said.
